About Creepy Korea

Last updated: July 2026

Creepy Korea (크리피코리아) is an independent online magazine about the dark and the unexplained. We cover Korea's urban legends and haunted places, and we follow the thread outward to the world's great unsolved mysteries and the conspiracy theories that refuse to die.

What we cover

Four files, one obsession. Urban Legends: the creatures and curses Korea tells after dark. Haunted Places: the abandoned hospitals and condemned buildings locals still avoid. World Mysteries: unsolved cases and unexplained events from anywhere on the map. Conspiracy Files: cover-ups and hidden hands, read with a cold eye.

How we work

Every file is researched against primary sources: contemporary news reports, official records, and first-hand accounts where they exist. When a story is legend, rumor, or unverified, we say so plainly. We separate what is documented from what is speculation, and we list our sources at the bottom of every article so you can check our work.

Who we are

Creepy Korea is produced by the Creepy Korea Editorial Team, a small independent group based in South Korea. We are readers of this genre ourselves, and we hold our stories to the standard we would want as readers: accurate, respectful of the people involved, and honest about uncertainty.
